What is Environmental Studies?
Environmental studies is the science of Environment which includes Natural Cycles, Natural Resources, Natural Calamities and Environmental Conservation and Protection. Environmental studies is to learn the way we should live and what are the things needed for sustainable way of living to protect the environment. It helps individuals to develop an understanding of living and physical environment and how to resolve challenging environment issues affecting nature.

What is the importance of environmental studies?
Our environment is very important to us because it is where we live and share resources with other species. Environmental studies enlightens us on how to conserve our environment in the face of increasing human population growth and anthropogenic activities that degrades natural resources and ecosystem.

What is the need for Environmental studies?
The course is designed with certain objectives to make the learners understand the definition, scope, and the importance of environmental studies. To get them familiarised with various types of natural resources and the role of media in conservation of natural resources. To identify environmental issues and channel remedies with awareness programs. As the fastest medium to reach the masses is by usage of ICT, so it helps the students to understand environmental journalism, its scope and objectives.
